Weather: Very cool at night

We left Las Vegas at 3 a.m. so we could beat the heat of crossing the desert. We arrived at the Calif. border at about 10 a.m. today and traveled for about another hour to Yosemite. The camp that we are in is quite dirty and there are a lot of weird looking hippy type guys around, but most of them seem to be good natured and friendly. We (Ken, Cathy, and Me) took a walk up the side of a mountain but that was the extent of our activities for today. We are getting rested for our trip to the valley tomorrow.

Took a walk up the side of a mountain!!...It was a high flat mountain...and we had a terrible time comeing down...Tom saved us by going down abit and letting us slide into him without shooting down the whole thing and really getting hurt...It was a scarey ending to a great day!
