We left Hermosa and gradually entered the desert. The thermometer rose until it hit 100+! We could barely stand it and kept splashing the dish cloth on ourselves. We stopped at four-corners where Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado all meet at one point. When we finally reached the Grand Canyon we were nearly cooked alive! At the higher altitudes, however, the temp. decreased slightly down to 90. By the way, Mom, Dad and Carey are sleeping in a cabin and the rest of us are in the camper. The temp. should go down to 55 or 60. We are here tomorrow too.
