Where: Side trip to Canon City Colorado / Royal Gorge
Weather: Hot in the 80's till later in the day
Miles Today: 168

We slept in until about 8 a.m. and didn't leave Monument lake resort until 9:30. It was only 60 mile to Canon City so we didn't take too long to get there. We were stopped at the gate and we decided to buy tickets to the inclined railway. (By the way I left out one point. Before we actually got to the Gorge we took a mini train ride to the rim of it!) We then drove across the highest suspension bridge in the world and ate lunch on the other side. After lunch we went back over the bridge and by that time Mom was nearly crawling the walls. We then went down the inclined railway which goes to the bottom of the gorge. After that ride was done we returned to Monument Lake resort and arrived at about 5 :15 p.m. At 8 we went to a rodeo which was really interesting! Tomorrow we have a long haul over the mountains,
